error code 126 during install

I received an error code 126 message during the beginning of my installation (after clicking Start Installation). The install is forced to stop and the computer reboots. Is there any way to fix this?

I got the same, I also got "the file winsetup.dll could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue error code is [126], this is on a DVD from microsoft

Hi, I got the same the full message is "THE FILE WINSETUP.DLL COULD NOT BE LOADED OR IS CORRUPT. SETUP CANNOT CONTINUE ERROR CODE IS [126]" this is on a DVD from Microsoft. I even tried cleaning it, no joy. Anyone any ideas.

I got the same error when using VPC and i had to increase the RAM allocation to 512. Once i did that i was able to continue with the install
